Santa Barbara California Sunset Session on Leadbetter Beach :: Santa Barbara Courthouse Pre Engagement :: Lucero and John

Lucero and John met me at the Santa Barbara Courthouse in California just before closing time. The courthouse is such a beautiful building, with classic architecture and gorgeous grounds, and it's a popular place for weddings, engagements, and portraits in the Santa Barbara area. I'm sure you can see why! After wandering around the courthouse, we went out to Leadbetter Beach and photographed by the piers as the sun was setting. The water was cold (by California standards!) but these two braved some cold feet for some fun photos!

It's really so beautiful to be able to witness and even document love. The kisses. The quiet looks that say 'I love you'. Dancing on the beach. The whole body laughs and smiles. I mean, just look at Lucy's gorgeous smile (with that awesome bright pink lip color she was rocking) and the way that John holds on to her. They aren't engaged (yet!) but there is no doubt about how happy they are around each other!

Hammonasset Beach Engagement Session :: Madison, CT :: Ashley and Kevin

I am in love with this adorable sunset engagement session with Ashley and Kevin, probably because you can easily see how in love they are. This was my first time at Hammonasset Beach in Madison, CT and it was such was a gorgeous backdrop.. I really enjoyed wandering around with these two, though I highly recommend bringing some heavy duty bug spray along if you go!

Destination Weddings :: Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica :: Tropical Sunset Wedding Photos on the Beach :: Sneak Peek :: Meredith and Dave

Meredith and Dave were married this past Saturday in Manuel Antonio, Costa Rica right before sunset with a barefoot beach ceremony surrounded by their friends, family, and even some smiling beach goers. Getting to know Meredith and Dave, I couldn't imagine a more perfect setting. These two had a celebration that really embraces the love and excitement that I think of when I hear !Pura Vida¡ - a Costa Rican word that encompasses a lot of meaning but roughly translates to 'Pure Life'. They were up for anything as we were taking photos, including going through salt water to scale a jagged rock formation that looks like a mini mountain, and I'm so excited to share the results.

I'm still going through all of the photos, including some monkey appearances, and will share them all with you soon. But, for now, here is your sneak peek!
